How Car Dealerships Deal With Mountains of Snow
Mountains of snow and below-freezing temperatures couldn't keep some people away from work. Believe it or not, car dealers were out early Monday morning to uncover all of the new cars and shovel out the snow.
At Isringhausen in downtown Springfield, they started around 6:30 this morning. The dealership doesn't call professionals in to do the massive snow removal. They do it themselves. All the sales department and service center employees got bundled up and hard at work.
"Just so, if anyone wants to come in, they have a nice, warm car to get into," said Mike Djanovich, Service Director for the Isringhausen dealership. "Make sure everything starts, with the batteries, being as cold as it is, make sure the cars are going to start, just in case anyone wants to come out and look at them."
It took the Isringhausen team between four and five hours to clean off all the cars at their dealership.
