Routt Students Sick After Cafeteria Lunch
Twenty-five students at Routt Catholic High School in Morgan County apparently got sick after eating cafeteria food during lunch Wednesday.
Our news partner WLDS radio in Jacksonville reports students affected were very flush, with red, itchy skin, right after they ate lunch.
Officials from the Morgan County Health Department happened to be at the school for flu vaccinations, and took care of the affected students.
They say the sickness may have come from Mexican rice the cafeteria served, which possibly had too many spices, causing an allergic reaction.
The school principal said none of the students required hospital treatment, but they were sent home.
