Glenwood Choir to Sing with Foreigner
What's it like to perform with one of the most popular rock groups in the world? A Glenwood High School choir will get that taste next week.
Glenwood High School's Fresh Start Choir received the most votes in a central Illinois contest that gives them the opportunity to sing Foreigner's song, "I Want to Know What Love Is," live on stage when the band comes to Springfield next Friday.
"I love this song," Sophie Lanser, a senior, said. "I'm a big fan of Foreigner so when this whole thing started happening, I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I love this. This is awesome.' It's such a catchy song to jam to and we have such a great time."
"I think it's really cool and an incredible opportunity and I am so happy we'll have the opportunity to do it," Grace Hall, a senior, said.
The Foreigner concert is at 8 p.m. at the Sangamon Auditorium on Friday, November 15.
The choir will also receive $500 for the choir program.
