Jacksonville Hosts Pumpkin Festival
It's hard to go anywhere this time of year without feeling the chill in the air--or seeing big, bright pumpkins line streets.
The same goes in Jacksonville. This is the third year for the Jacksonville Pumpkin Festival, and organizers say it's a great way to showcase the downtown area.
"It took a long time for Jacksonville Main Street to get this established, to the way it had been in the past," coordinator Stephanie Sieving said. "I just thought it would be a great area to bring everyone together. It's centrally located, there is plenty of area to walk around. There's great businesses down here, and I thought it would be the nicest spot."
Best of all, the day of fun was free to attend.
