Another Candidate Joins 13th Congressional Race
The race for the 13th Congressional Representative seat is heating up as another candidate throws his hat in the ring.
The new contender joining the race is University of Illinois physics professor George Gollin, a Democrat.
Gollin, who is originally from New York, has called Champaign his home for more than 20 years now. The professor said he's now decided to run for office because he believes there's a better way of dealing with current issues.
Gollin is one of three candidates officially running to represent the 13th District. Other candidates include former Miss America Erika Harold and incumbent Rodney Davis.
