Knights of Columbus Hosts Community Barbecue
Knights of Columbus across the state are pulling together for good times and a good cause. Members of the community and Knights of Columbus 364 gathered for the 92nd Annual Barbecue Raffle Sunday.
The day started with food and sorting through the thousands of raffle tickets that were purchased. Prizes totaled $25,000, and the grand prize drawing was for $10,000.
Proceeds help support charitable activities and organizations.
"It's part of being Knight is being able to give back to the community," member Glenn Jacobs said. "And we look forward to this event in particular because so many people enjoy the entertainment, the atmosphere, and the camaraderie that we have."
This event is a group effort, with 150 other Knights of Columbus councils selling raffle tickets across the state.
The Knights also partnered with St. Agnes school. A bake sale at the barbecue supported the eighth grade field trip.
