Quinn Still Reviewing Concealed Carry Bill
The July 9 deadline for concealed carry is creeping closer, and Gov. Pat Quinn still hasn't signed a bill legalizing it.
Quinn said he'll decide on a concealed carry bill in a "very reasonable period of time," as the state faces a court-mandated deadline next month.
The general assembly sent the governor a concealed carry bill at the end of May.
Last week, 23 Democratic senators sent the governor a letter urging him to make his intentions known soon. They're worried that if he vetoes the bill, they won't have enough time to react.
Quinn said it's a very complex and long bill, and he wants a thorough review.
