Jacksonville Man Re-Tried for 2007 Murder
A Jacksonville man will stand trial for the second time for allegedly shooting a man to death in Jacksonville in 2007. Rafael Kennedy, 24, was convicted of killing Earl Capone Jackson in 2009. An appellate court overturned that conviction, saying the judge in the case failed to let Kennedy know about the maximum and minimum sentencing lengths.
Kennedy now sits in the Morgan County Jail, awaiting his second trial.
