State Cracks Down on Handicapped Parking Violations
The secretary of state's office is touting its crackdown on people who illegally park in disability spaces at local malls. The secretary of state police said they issued 166 tickets, totally $71,250 in fines.
The statewide enforcement kicked off on Black Friday, November 23, and continued through the end of December.
Secretary of State Jesse White said he's pleased with the results and added the mission is not to give tickets, but to make sure those spots are available to those who need them.
