Source of Tainted Peanut Butter IDed
We may now know the source of salmonella involved in a massive peanut butter recall. The FDA said they found the bacteria in a New Mexico plant that makes peanut butter and other products for Trader Joe's and other grocery chains.
The FDA has also confirmed the presence of salmonella in a jar of Trader Joe's peanut butter found in a victim's home.
The company, Sunland Incorporated, has expanded its recall to include all products manufactured in the plant within the past 2.5 years.
Whole Foods, Target, Safeway, and many other national chairs have used Sunland products in their own brands.
Most of the people who got sick were under the age of 10.
