As the low pressure system from this past weekend continues to move eastward, gradually clearing skies will bring us generally quiet weather and warming temps before another chance of rain returns this weekend.
The work week begins with partly sunny skies and seasonal temperatures today. Temps will be warmer tomorrow under mostly sunny skies as high pressure builds into the Midwest.
After a partly sunny day Wednesday, we'll look for abundant sunshine and warmer temperatures Thursday and Friday before yet another weather maker pushes through the Midwest Friday night with more showers likely into the start of the weekend.
The extended forecast has showers developing Friday night with a chance of more showers and possibly a thunderstorm or two popping up on Saturday before rain tapers off Saturday evening. Temperatures will be cooler over the weekend, too, as colder air works in behind this next storm system.
The 7-day temperature outlook has highs in the mid- to upper 50's today through Wednesday; lower 60's Thursday and Friday; and, lower 50's Saturday and Sunday. Overnight lows are expected to be in the upper 30's tonight through Wednesday night; lower 40's Thursday and Friday night; and, lower 30's Saturday night.
