Meeting features high-tech tools for older adults

CHICAGO (AP) -- The pill dispenser of the future not only organizes your pills but also reminds you to take them.
That gadget and other high-tech tools for older adults will be displayed to senior housing providers meeting in Chicago next week.
U.S. Assistant Secretary for Aging Kathy Greenlee is scheduled to tour a model house filled with new technology for seniors on Sunday. She'll see a security system that replaces a peephole with DVD screen and a gaming system that provides speech therapy, e-mail and classic radio shows.
Greenlee is set to speak on the opening day of the annual meeting of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. The meeting runs through Wednesday at McCormick Place Lakeside Center.
