Lauren Lindvig

Lauren is happy to be home in the Land of Lincoln. She was born and raised in Hoffman Estates, Illinois-- a suburb of Chicago. Lauren joins the NewsChannel 20 family from Mid- Missouri where she worked in radio and television news. Before coming back home Lauren worked at KBIA, an NPR station in Columbia, Missouri. She found her love for television news working as a reporter and weekend anchor at the NBC affialite in Columbia, KOMU-TV 8.
Her most memorable experience working as a reporter in mid-Missouri was being on the scene of the 2004 Kirksville commuter plane crash where she learned the importance of breaking news.
Lauren is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Journalism. At Mizzou Lauren was Vice-President of Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity and her postion enabled her to become very involved with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Lauren continues to support breast cancer awareness to this day. She enjoyed her time in Columbia and is now happy to be in central Illinois covering everything from local schools to crime.
When Lauren isn't on camera she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Figure skating is still a love for Lauren. She has been on the ice since the age of 5. When the lakes aren't frozen, there is one more thing Lauren enjoys doing-- Playing golf with anyone who can hold their own against her killer drive.
